Wolf Quest

(Michael) - This was our...exciting...Friday night activity last week.

Not that it needs any explanation, but it's a video game where you play a wolf trying to survive and raise a pack in Yellowstone National Park.  I personally think you get everything you need to know about the game from the trailer below:

Makes you want to quickly go and download it yourself, right.

Anyway, I'm thinking that my wife is going through wolf withdrawals ever since her internship at the wolf center ended last fall.  She confessed to me one evening that she had played it for a while that afternoon and that all of her cubs had died (I think due to a sneaky coyote).  This is why we spent date night finding elk carcasses, marking our territory, howling, chasing bears, and dragging cubs back to their den.  It was...exhilarating...almost as much fun as actually being a wolf.

Well at least she was able to prove to me that she could care for and protect a bunch of little furry animals.  No doubt she will use this as leverage the next time she tries to get me to just "look around" at an animal shelter.  In the meantime, I will be trying to find another outlet for her wolf nurturing needs....any suggestions?  Please help.

(Amanda) Let it be known that I never saw the trailer before I played the game, it would have been an immediate deterrent. The game is actually quite long and boring....I just couldn't let the coyote win.

  1. I just tried to play but the server's "taking too long to respond." It must be popular - and it looks like none of the animals have blood, which is a plus for squeamish me...(I'll take spiders over bloody carcasses any day!...Okay, most days.)
