(Michael) We had a good mix of Easter activities this year with a few new ideas we'd like to keep as traditions.
A friend from the ward invited us to her parent's cool house for a neat spring-themed party. I love going to these occasionally to simply appreciate the ambiance of a Pinterest get-together without having to do the crazy amount of work that goes behind the scenes.
We did the community Easter egg hunt, and although both Thomas and Rebecca were a little oblivious, they were able to enjoy some time with friends.
We really tried to emphasize the meaning of Easter. Amanda made a cool wall display with a picture every day of the week. I, on the other hand, simply made some tomb shaped pancakes where Thomas could roll away the top pancake stone. And what's underneath the top pancake...NOTHING! It was a risky surprise for a three year-old, but I think it worked.
We had Easter dinner with my parents, where Thomas could learn how to make "bunny buns" from a pro. We were also proud of a carrot cake we had made from carrots in our garden.
We also had a little Easter egg hunt in our backyard.
