Anyway, we went to Costco this past Saturday and spent four hours there. Yes, four hours.
We had to get a puncture fixed on our right rear tire (or a puncture wound as my father-in-law would say) and so we chose the busiest day of the week to cash in on our free tire repair at Costco. I don't know why we didn't think ahead to bring our second car, but we didn't, and so when the car repair man told us it would be a three hour wait we just shrugged our shoulders and headed for the samples.
Since we had three hours we decided to make ourselves at home, literally. After filling our bellies with samples of chicken noodle soup, pork chops, pizza, deli meat, yogurt, chocolate milk, oranges, pears, a tamale, and a fruit shake we grabbed a couple books and headed to the sofas. After an hour long nap we went exploring once again and found that the employee breakroom has a microwave and a fridge. We concluded that we could pretty much live in Costco.
At one point we even took the pair of pants I was going to buy and put them in the dresser across from our sofa for safekeeping while we went exploring (I didn't want to have to go through and find another pair). We also snagged a large piece of cardboard for Lily's cat house. Thanks again, Costco.
A day well spent? I think so.
