(Michael) We had a solid fun-filled day this year. It started with the ward pancake breakfast where Thomas was so excited to showcase his decorated bicycle. Quite the sight to see that many little kids all trying to ride around the park at the same time.
Rebecca mostly stayed in the safety of the playground.
But when things settled down, we made sure everyone got a turn.
After that, we went to Old Poway Park for their annual event. The special addition this year was that Thomas got to go with Grandpa McPhie to explore some of the trains (with the attention span of an active 3 year-old). Sadly they didn't have our favorite street organ guy.
That evening we watched fireworks on the stake center lawn, but got there a bit too early so there was a lot of anticipation. But it all worked out and tears were kept to a minimum.
