On our way back from Sproat Lake we had the opportunity to stop at a few other cool places along the way. First we went to this really nice river with a neat waterfall:
I loved the colour of the water - the rivers in B.C. are so clear you can see the bottom.
The water was absolutely freezing so we had to take breaks on rocks to let our feet warm back up.
My mom and I battling over who got to be "King of the rock."
On our way back to the car we thought we would use our Spidey powers to cling on the side of this tree.
Just kidding....
Our next stop was Cathedral Grove, an old growth forest known for it's large trees.
Trying our luck as 'tree huggers."

Ok so I've never actually seen a lot of Devil's Club before and the ferns in the background are pretty harmless, but a dense dark forest can be pretty scary to someone from the city.
And as we all know, a forest can hold many secrets....can we say possible Ent?
On the way home from Cathedral Grove was a quaint little town with this famous restaurant.
Unfortunately you can't really tell in the picture, but there are goats that live on the roof of this restaurant. I was excited to show it to Michael because he and his dad always joke about goats in trees.
Just down the way was this weird ship/castle thing...
with a garden of stone sculptures. It reminded me of a place that should be in some story.

We couldn't help but love the baby owl in the mom's wing....you know it's cute.
