We had our first real ward BBQ the other day. I say first real BBQ because the ward did have a BBQ when we first moved into the ward, but we didn't know anyone back then and maybe only 20 people showed up. This one was much more of a success.
Of course I am a little biased because Michael and I were in charge of the games. Well we were in charge of running the games, we didn't get to choose them.

Before the start of the three-legged race
The beginning
About five seconds in.
By the end only one group was standing. It was a pretty amazing site to see a large group of people all writhing on the ground with some partners desperately clawing at the grass trying to drag their teammate along. It was my favorite part of the day for sure.
I was rooting for these two, for obvious reasons
The balloon toss
We also had an egg on the spoon race and a few mini games. The bishop said we really raised the bar; as much as that is supposed to be a good thing, I can't help but feel as sense of foreboding
After the balloon toss there was a water balloon fight. Check out the kid in the bottom left corner.
