(Michael) A week after Thomas was born, Amanda's parents came down to stay with us for a week, and we can't even begin to tell you how nice it was to have them here. I'm embarrassed to say, but I was getting used to all the help with meals, cleaning, late night baby shifts, general baby tips, fun times, and so on. Sadly, we didn't hold up our end of the bargain with nice warm weather.
One day when they were with us, we realized that this would be there only shot at being part of the baby blessing...and that they weren't going to be around for the next Sunday. So this meant baby blessing at home. Thanks to all the McPhies/Hiatts who were able to make it on short notice, we just starting to realize what a feat it is to get out of the house with a child let alone multiple children.
It was a nice experience, and although we missed out on the Lion King presentation to the ward, I thought it was pretty special to have it here at home.
(Additional thanks to Tina for making the play-doh, and Megan for taking all the pictures!)
