(Michael) A couple months ago we made a trip San Francisco to visit with our Friends Luke and Rachel. We figured they might be coming down to San Diego some time in the future so we wanted to make sure to take advantage of the opportunity of having them as tour guides...plus Amanda had never been there before.
We drove up and I listened to an audio book (Deception Point by Dan Brown...sort of riveting, better than the weird vampire one we checked out from the library for a trip to Utah).
Most of our trip was filled with the typical tourist activities, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square. We also got a bucket full of mini donuts (because shouldn't donuts be sold by the bucket).
As an extra bonus we met up with my college roommate Jeff and his wife Alia who were visiting as well.
Other highlights included:
-Watching the new LED light display on the Bay Bridge
-Playing at the olde arcade shop (where Amanda and I were masters of the ice hockey game)
-Amanda's first crab dinner
-Amanda's first crab dinner
-Watching gophers in place of the boring buffalo at a park
-Twirl and Dip ice cream truck (we got salted chocolate because I guess it's not good enough to just have salted caramel these days)
-A very windy Sunday stroll
-Trip to Muir Woods
-And last but not not least, Disney trivia game for the ride home with Alan and Allison
As you can see below, we had a lot of fun with some great company....
